The funeral service of the late wife of the founder of Fountain of Life Bible Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, Nomthi took place in Lagos State today.

Naija News 247 had earlier reported that the 47-year-old cleric died in the United Kingdom two weeks ago after battling cancer.

The news platform disclosed that the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu alongside the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday night attended the night of tributes for late Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.

The night of tributes was held at the headquarters of Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos.

The programme was attended by other General Overseers of churches in and outside Lagos state, friends, families to commiserate with the family of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.

Popular gospel musician, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey ministered at the night of tributes for late Pastor Nomthi Odukoya on Monday.

Late Pastor Nomthi was born on the 30th of May 1974 in Durban, South Africa. She attended Domino Servite School in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands, South Africa.

She got married to Pastor Taiwo Odukoya on the 5th of January 2010 and their relationship produced two sons.

BREAKING: Gunmen kill three policemen at Enugu checkpoint

Two people are presumed dead in Enugu State after an attack by unknown gunmen on Tuesday morning.

The gunmen attacked an Army checkpoint on the Obeagu-Amodu road in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State, according to reports.

This is not the first time gunmen were attacking security agencies along that axis. The frequent attacks led to the deployment of the combined team of security operatives.

However, it was gathered that the gunmen stormed the area again in two Lexus Jeeps and one Toyota Sienna bus around 7:25 a.m.

They reportedly opened fire at the combined team of the Police and the military.

Although the casualty figure is still unclear, a source said at least two persons died.

The police in Enugu State is yet to issue a statement on the reported attack.

The All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Campaign Council has postponed the kick-off of its campaigns earlier slated for Wednesday.

Director-General, of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong disclosed this in a statement Tuesday.

According to him, the adjustment of the timetable and schedule of activities is in order to accommodate growing interests showing by various political tendencies in being party of the campaign council.

According to him, a new date for the kick-off would be announced soon.

The statement reads; “Recall that we had earlier earmarked a peace walk and prayers for Wednesday, September 28, 2022, to officially kick-off our campaigns for the 2023 Presidential Elections. We had also announced that the members of the Campaign Council report at the Campaign Headquarters on that day to collect their letters of appointments.

“However, due to the expansion of the list to accommodate more stakeholders and interests within the APC family, we have decided to adjust the time-table of these activities in order to ensure everyone is on board before activities officially commence. Consequently, the activities earlier announced for the 28th of September will no longer hold
