It is no more news that the Former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki might be nursing Presidential Ambition in 2023.
However, Saraki might not be favoured to get the Presidential ticket of PDP, due to the zoning system of the Party.
The Leaders of the Party, have made the Presidential ticket, open to all the Presidential Aspirants of the Party, who might be interested to contest Presidential race.
Meanwhile, the Leaders of the Party had unanimously Picked the Former Senate President, Senator Iyorchia Ayu as Consensus National Chairman of the Party from north central.
Saraki may not be favoured to emerge as Presidential Candidate of the Party, since he is from the same geopolitical zone with the National Chairman.
However, There are other suitable Positions for Senator Bukola Saraki, if he cannot emerge as Presidential Candidate of PDP. Saraki may contest, for the Position of Senator to represent his Senatorial district.
It should be recalled that Saraki was the Senate President at the 8th National Assembly. He was able to Perform well as the Senate President. Saraki needs the votes of Kwara Central Senatorial district alone, to become Senator of Kwara Central Senatorial district. He may not find it difficult to maneuver his way to emerge as Senate President.
Another suitable Position for Senator Bukola Saraki is Ministerial Appointment, if PDP wins Presidential Race in 2023. Saraki may be appointed as Minister for Health. The reason is that Saraki is a medical Doctor by Profession.
Naija News 247 gathered that, Saraki worked as medical Officer at Rush Green Hospital, Essex, from 1988 to 1989. He was a director of societe Generale Bank (Nig) Ltd from 1990 to 2000. He was also appointed as Special Assistant on Budget by former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
This means that Saraki will Perform well, if he can be given Health Ministerial Appointment. The only condition is that PDP needs to Win 2023 Presidential race, before Saraki can emerge as Minister for Health. Saraki will use his experience as Medical Doctor for the development of the Ministry.

Nigeria would have been better if leaders followed Lar’s example: Jonathan
Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan says Nigeria would have been a better place to live if the country’s leaders had followed the example of the late Solomon Lar and other like-minded politicians.
“If we had continued in the same political trajectory promoted by the likes of Chief Lar in the second and third republics, our country would have been better off in terms of our unity, peace and pace of development,” said Mr Jonathan, at the public presentation of a book ‘Chronicles of the Rainbow’, and the inauguration of the Solomon and Mary Lar Leadership Institute, in Abuja on Thursday. “Chief Lar offered love in place of bitter and divisive politicking, built bridges to cement the cracks in our unity and showed courage in the face of injustice and military dictatorship.”
The ex-president urged politicians to imitate the political attributes of inclusion, sacrifice and selflessness, which he said the Plateau’s first civilian governor exhibited.
“As we head towards the 2023 general elections, I will urge that we all, as critical stakeholders, whether as candidates or voters, embrace the principles of the late Chief Solomon Lar’s politics of inclusion, bridge-building, unity and accommodation,” Mr Jonathan added.
He recalled that Mr Lar was the only governor from the North in the Second Republic who contested and won an election on the platform of the Nigerian Peoples Party (NPP), a party that had the South as its stronghold.
The former president stressed that Mr Lar’s stance and subsequent victory alone epitomised his character and disposition as a bridge builder and advocate of national unity.
“Sadly, we are now playing the kind of politics that Chief Lar detested. Issues around ethnicity, religious bigotry, hate speech and personal attacks, rather than principles and policies affecting the lives of Nigerians, have continued to dominate political discourses around the country as political parties begin their campaigns,” Mr Jonathan admitted.
He, however, urged “politicians who are seeking to occupy different elective offices across the nation, as well as leaders and promoters of the various political parties to learn from the likes of Chief Solomon Lar, who played politics of sacrifice and selflessness, in the interest of the people.”

PDP will loot treasury dry if given access to power again
Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture has stayed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will loot the country’s treasury dry if they are given another opportunity to be in power.
This was stated by Mohammed while speaking in Tanzania, in reaction to the controversy surrounding the return of N122.4 million by members of the PDP’s national working committee (NWC).
“If a man can steal from himself, he will steal without any restrain from other people. The problem is that PDP will never change and like they say, a leopard will never change its spots. When PDP lost elections in 2015, they admitted that they had learnt their lessons, but obviously, they have learnt nothing.
God forbid, if they ever have access to public purse again, they will leave no kobo there. We know what we met when we assumed office in 2015, we are still wailing from it. We hope Nigerians have now seen from this scandal the intention of PDP if they ever have access to public treasury.”
Mohammed said the party should be questioned on the source of the funds shared, adding that as a member of the NWC of the APC, no money was ever paid into his account.
“Never did I remember that any form of money, call it, accommodation, or whatsoever, was ever paid into the account of any member of the NWC of either ACN or APC” he said.
