Cristiano Ronaldo shone yesterday in the match between Manchester United and Newcastle (4-1). But the Portuguese does not want the team to rest on its laurels, NaijaNews247 reports.

For his first game, since returning to Old Trafford, Ronaldo has shown that he remains one of the best players in the world.

Author of a brace, “CR7” contributed greatly to the success of the Red Devils against the Magpies. “I was really nervous, maybe I didn’t show it. I told myself last night that I wanted to show that I was still able to help the team, ” said the former player of Juventus Turin.

In the end, Cristiano Ronaldo relaxed, as the match progressed, thanks to the “incredible” crowd in the stands at Old Trafford.

Naija News 247 From an accounting point of view, this success allows Manchester United to occupy the first place on the English Premier League table. United are tied on points with Chelsea who also took 10 points out of 12.

Ronaldo considers the Manchester United team “fantastic”, as does manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, “CR7” emphasized two elements in order to maximize the chances of winning the English Premier League title. For him, it is necessary to “gain confidence” on the pitch.

Willian: "I was not happy at Arsenal"

In addition, “the team must be mature” to triumph at the end of the season, both “in the Premier League” and in the “Champions League”.

For now, “CR7” has the feeling that Manchester United is “on the right track”. On a personal level, the Portuguese wants to continue helping the team throughout the season.

With his experience, his work force and his qualities, Ronaldo is clearly the figurehead of the Mancunian club on the offensive plan. It did not escape anyone on Saturday (yesterday) …
