World Cup 2022 is coming but some big European countries like Portugal, Spain and others are in trouble. Let’s go to see the details report by Naija News.
Some nations like Germany or Denmark already have their ticket to Qatar, big European names are in danger and could have to go through the dams.
In Group A, Serbia are one point ahead (and one more game) over Portugal. The final of this group will be played on November 14 in Lisbon between these two nations. Could Cristiano Ronaldo be beaten by Dusan Tadic and his gang?
In Group B, Spain are two points behind Sweden. La Roja will live a crucial week with first a complicated trip to Greece and then the reception of Sweden. It will take two wins to qualify directly. With two defeats, Spain could be absent from the World Cup.
In Group C, Italy and Switzerland have the same points. Here again, the calendar offers a final this Friday in Rome. The European champions will not be able to count on certain players like Verratti and Immobile. Will Shaqiri’s Switzerland be able to achieve a great feat again in 2021 after taking out France at the Euro?
In Group G, the Netherlands are two points ahead of Norway but these two teams will meet on the last day. The Norwegians will not be able to count on Haaland, due to injury. A decisive advantage for the Depay gang?
In Group H, Croatia, second-world champion, has no choice. They have to win in Malta and then defeat Russia, who’s currently the group with 2 points ahead. The atmosphere promises to be very hot in Split for this final.

Thomas Tuchel was relieved of his managerial role at Chelsea following a shock 1-0 defeat to Zagreb in the opening UEFA Champions League (UCL) group game, yet Graham Potter’s reign began with a similarly disappointing result in round two (1-1 vs Salzburg).
A last-gasp league winner against Crystal Palace last weekend then kickstarted the Potter era but a win here seems a must considering Chelsea have failed to qualify from just one of their last 18 UCL groups.
This stuttering Blues side have been the image of inconsistency this season, with every match they’ve played producing differing results (W4, D2, L3). However, just six defeats across Chelsea’s last 32 UCL fixtures suggest that improvement could be just around the corner (W19, D7, L6).
Perhaps playing at Stamford Bridge will provide a further boost, as the two-time UCL winners have won without reply in six of their last eight competition matches here (D1, L1).
A convincing 3-1 win over Empoli at the weekend kept Italian champions AC Milan in touch with the Serie A leaders ahead of this crucial clash in London. Maintaining their unbeaten start in UCL action (W1, D1) may be tough, however, with no fewer than nine players out with injury for Milan, although manager Stefano Pioli was quick to highlight the positives stating: “It’s a chance for everyone to show that we’re a strong squad”.
The Rossoneri have already matched their points haul from last season’s UCL group when finishing bottom, and a repeat of that appears unlikely this time around given their record of qualifying from 12 of the last 13 group stages. In order to keep the good times rolling, Milan must end a run of three straight defeats to Premier League opponents, which includes home and away defeats to Liverpool in last season’s group stage.
Key battle of Chelsea – AC Millan Champions League Match
Two players will face former employers as Chelsea’s Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang looks to build on his first goal against what was his first senior club. Former Chelsea man Fikayo Tomori will be looking to thwart him, the AC Milan defender who scored in one of their defeats against English outfit Liverpool last season.
Chelsea – AC Millan: Hot stat
The London team, Chelsea have failed to win nine of their last 11 encounters with Italian opponents at any venue (D3, L6).

Arsenal loanee keeps his 4th clean sheet

Okonkwo kept his fourth clean sheet of the season in Saturday’s 1-0 win, making it nine goals conceded in nine games.
It’s a very solid start for the young Gunner, who celebrated his 21st birthday earlier this month.
Just as encouraging as his performances is the fact Okonkwo has been featuring so consistently so far. The goalkeeper is yet to miss a minute of his side’s League Two campaign.

Conversely, if you can nail down your place in the early stages of the loan, it sets you up well to play regularly all year.
So far, it doesn’t appear that Okonkwo is going to have much trouble earning minutes with Crewe.
Referee gets life ban for holding VAR review on fan’s mobile phone
Serbian referee Stefan Lazovic who used footage on a fan’s mobile phone for VAR review to overturn an offside decision has been banned for life.
Lazovic went viral after pictures emerged of his VAR check in one of Serbia’s lower-tier competitions earlier this week.
He had originally ruled out a goal for offside before studying the spectator’s video, eventually deciding that the player was in fact onside.
And the Sun reports that Serbian chiefs were not impressed by the decision and have since stripped Lazovic of his duties.
Lazovic’s alleged dismissal sparked outrage on social media, as fans stood in support of the referee.
Former Manchester United and Chelsea star Nemanja Matic commented on an Instagram post supporting Lazovic with a two raised hands emoji.
The original comment written by ftbl.serbia read: “Support for Stefan Lazovic! Why should only he suffer, why such a rigorous sentence, why a lifetime ban from trial?
“How is it possible that there is no penalty for the delegate and all other authorities from the responsible FS of that district?
“How could the match be allowed to be played without one assistant referee?! Who is responsible here? Why does Stefan’s spear break?
“At the end of the day, the fact that he watched the video and changed the decision, just shows that he wanted everything to be FAIR!
“He talks about the fact that he was not a slave to his vanity, but he admitted and corrected his mistake.
“Well, this video went around the world and now millions of people have heard about the ‘over there’ football clubs Popovic and Apollon, as well as the village of Vrnjci!
“In short, we appeal to the judges’ organisation and the competent authorities – now you CHANGE the decision! Let the VAR system work for you too and cancel the penalty. Correct the ERROR!
“SUPPORT FOR STEFAN LAZOVIC!”
